I was there too & was very impressed. Plenty of stalls, knowledgable modellers & some great kits on display. I picked up a 1/48 Airfix Spitfire XIX for £10, well chuffed.

Really good venue too. I plan to go next year.

You will see some photos of the new HKM 1/32nd B-17G. There were two of them there, one finished and the other opened up. Also you will see the new Revell 1/32nd Spitfire I/II and the HKM Meteor F4. I'm really impressed with these kits. On the B-17G there is so much room to add more and more detail. They have already listed two new models for this year; The Lancaster BIII and the Mosquito FBVI, both in 1/32nd. Going by the price of the Meteor and B-17, the price of the Mossie will probably be as much as the Airfix 1/24th kit.

One model that I was particularly impressed with, as I got one for Christmas, is the Trumpeter HMS Warspite on the 'Scale Modelling Now' stand.
Build was very good, but the weathering was superb.

Scale Modelling Now is an internet model magazine. It costs £1.00 per month and looks really good. Loads of videos as well as photos and info pages. £1.00 per month looks like good value. I may sign up.

It covers Aircraft, Ships and Armour.

Thanks for that link ChuckE it does look decent for £1 per month. I might have to give it a try.

Did you pick up any goodies at the show? I saw someone who looked suspiciously like you buying an airbrush, was it you?

Not me, O T. I picked up some of the new Airfix releases that were on offer at very nice prices.

I was thinking of adding some more Eduard models to the collection by selling off a box of older kits. Unfortunately they didn't sell very well. Sword & Lance was much better for the buyers and sellers. Sold lots and bought lots. I had over £200 worth of kits for sale and was offered £40 as a bulk buy. You will understand why I didn't sell them. There were models I would have bought, but I needed to sell some off first.
So many models, so little time.
