Do the Mk. XII bromo, it's a nice kit and you're more than capable of doing it justice.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Please let me explain myself a bit better as i dont think my last post came accross right(like my spalling) the reason for the change in kit has more to do with having a good variety of Spits. No one is doing an Airfix 1/48 Va and reveiws are thin on the ground on the nett.As this is a gift box set i thought it would help as a guide to any one looking for help.A guy i work with, a non modeler, got this kit for a present and i only got to talk to him about it after he had given up on it(Those god awful pot paints again) after giving him some pointers and some of my paints to use he completed the kit and is so happy he is looking to buy some more kits  So that is the main reason, plus the fact that any guy who looses both legs and gets back in a plane again to fight for his country is a bit special.Steve will do a cracking job on the MkXII and i can then use all his tips to build mine :ha:
Now all i need to do is make a ruddy start!

Hi Bromo, I recently built this kit and it was with the help of this site and the people on here that helped me do a pretty reasonable job. Have a look in my hanger http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=370; if you get a minute.
I was new here and I wish I'd taken some pics of the build, but as far as a review from a newbies point of view, it went together well and you can get loads out of it for not a lot of money. I had bought a couple of extra bits and pieces by then, klear, mattcote, plasto and the like but the paints were the pots you get with the kit.
I hope you get as much out of it as this old newbie did
Cheers
Pete
