Re: Chris's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk Vb
Not much to report, masked and painted the undersides, its drying.
There is a heat wave here right now, not in the mood to model when its so hot.

Today's update;
Painted the prop, masked off tand painted the id panels.
Still have to paint the walk lines on the wing (no decal fro that, used it on another spit) and the exhuasts, then i can gloss cote for decals.

That's brave, painting the walk lines. I don't think my nerves would stand it...
Cheers

That has to be masked, when i was a kid I would have free handed that, these days its a bit much!AndrewR wrote:That's brave, painting the walk lines. I don't think my nerves would stand it...

I still freehand most canopies though, although lately I have begun to mask as my eyes go further south.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I'll mask em with some tape, not a problem, but i don't have the little message blurb for them unfortunetly.splash wrote:Chris you could draw them in with a fine pencil.

Can't be far off done then, Chris.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?
Re: Chris's Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk Vb
Today's update;
Time to paint the black lines on the wings, so first we mask
Then add the black paint, it of course looks very sloppy
Finally the moment of truth, the tape is removed and we have nice clean lines.
The plane is now gloss coted and is drying, decals are next.
