Terrific build Flakmonkey!
I'm thinking of getting this myself too. How do you get the paint chipping that good? I keep trying and it looks terrible.

Cheers,
Paul

The paint chipping was done by spraying the areas I wanted to chip in alclad duralumin before spraying the camouflage colours. The masking fluid was dabbed on with a tiny piece of sponge held in tweezers. After the camouflage colours were on the masking fluid was removed with a piece of blu-tak. Some people use a paste made from salt and water instead of the masking fluid. When you spray the flat coat it dulls the shine and makes the bare metal look oxidised, as it would be in real life. Before the flat coat is on the chipping can look too much, I think it's just something you have to get used to rather than there being any particular secret to it.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Top job!
So the kit canopy (the opened one with the unusual moulding) was the one you used? Looks fine!
I particularly like your tip about the wife and the car wax!

cheers,

David
