The potential for disaster is minimal if you keep the heat low.
Just don't forget the wax paper! Ask me why I'm stressing that point

Not very reassuring when there is a chance you could be kissing goodbye to some of your skin.Softscience wrote:The potential for disaster is minimal if you keep the heat low.

Re: Paul's Spitfire Vb
Well I finished it last night but was tired after a trip to Dublin from which I had to get up at 4:00am after getting 2 hours sleep and then walking all around Dublin. I got home at 9:40pm. I did pick up two kits and some paints though so it was a good trip. I saw one store which stocked the new Seafire FXVII for 20 euro!
Enough Blabbering anyway, it's time to make excuses for my poor work
I realised while taking pics that I'd forgotten to paint the leading edge ID stripe and this is my first attempt at weathering so go easy.
Cheers,
Paul

Re: Paul's Spitfire Vb
That turned out very well. It's still a great kit after all these years, I think Airfix should update it with some trench lines.
The weathering is very good. I always over do mine.

Nice one Paul. I like the weathering. It's easy to overdo it, and you have kept it nice and restrained.
Cheers

Re: Paul's Spitfire Vb
but more importantly, does the HU 30 look right? Yes, as far as colorized period film makes it seem, it looks right.
Color hues change and shift so much not only from weathering, but due even to simple lighting conditions. Close really is as good as it gets.
