Prior to the build, there was a lot of enthusiasm...or so it seemed from the postings.
A lot or you have even signed up to build and it's still quiet...too quiet...

On the up, Postie delivered my copy of Bill Gunston's "Aircraft of the Vietnam War" this morning. Predomininantly black and white photos, the book is much enhanced by Mr. Gunston's writing on each subject.

The Kamen Huskie was a very active little beastie and the only 1/72 kit I can find is from Mach 2. Do I really have to part with the best part of £20, (from Hannants), to get a 1/72 Huskie in my shelf?

As my Providers and B-57 make fianl approach, I'm looking as to what to do next.
Something that'll result in a relatively small model, so 1/144 is an obvious choice, but I have some smaller 1/72's, including helicopters, which seem under-represented in the Build, given the huge contribution they made to the conflict.
The Huey is already taken and I've already got Cobras. I'm leaning towards a Kiowa, although the Sea Knight's a nice kit...but there's already been one recently in the Forum. A Chinook's too big at the moment, as is the Flying Banana and my Revell Skycrane, although the latter's working features and added extras are tempting.
I've already got a Loach and Sea Sprite and Sea Kings and Super/Green Giants are too big again...

Might not be such a good idea, well over 200 parts (and counting) looks like a fair bit of work with details, not that I mind just timewise, surprisingly this isn't some modern Tamiya thing, found it's made in 1966!

I would just like to thank everyone who took part or commented. It was a great GB to moderate with an excellent & varied subject group. I must confess that I expected to be inundated with Phantoms & Thunderchiefs - how wrong can one be?
