Re: 'Nam Chat
I'll be starting with the Airfix 1/72 Cessna O-2, as a follow-on from my Bird Dog. Given the duration, I'll probably do more, as I have a Stash full of potential candidates.

Re: 'Nam Chat
Can I join in with the Grumman Mohawk I have barely started? If not, I can probably find something.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

i'll join in this one with the Academy Bearcat in french markings; there are a few techniques i want to try to get scuffs and scrapes on the frame.
Completed: not counting. Bought: trying not to let Mrs Viking count

Surely we're not sticking to exclusive, one-of-each-subject-only stuff, are we? As the months pass by, I'm likely to dig out a Matchbox A-7 and at least one helo.Brews wrote:Seeing as Bruce has dibs on the Cessna O-2...

Re: 'Nam Chat
If I can get hold of one, I fancy making a 1/72 or 1/76 North Vietnamese T-54 as a break between Neptune and Warwick, also having just built the Vietnam period Bird Dog and Huey for the Bird Dog GB, armour will make a change.

i am in with a 1:72 A-5 Vigilante.. i have a choice of two kits, Airfix or Revell. The Revell kit is a grey boxing dont really know much about it , if two together isnt an option ( it could be i suppose) which one is the better kit???

I've ordered a Trumpeter T-54B and will attempt to model Tank 843 the first tank to break through South Vietnam's Presidential Palace in Saigon symbolising the fall of Saigon - from which the pilot of my Bird Dog GB was fleeing, so I'll have a sort of 'double-ended' Vietnam display.

I'm in with a Bell AH-1G Cobra, by Revell in 1/32 scale.
Once again a cheap bargain has come back to bite me in the asp.
What looked like a good deal has actualy got 11 pieces missing
Most are to do with the rotors so a bit of sprue stretching should do for those, but I am also missing the pilots cyclic and gunners control unit
Oh well, should be fun.

I am in with an F-5 Skoshi Tiger, South Vietnamese Air Force if I can find the decals!
Also a Huey hog UH-1B with get an outing. If time allows I have an SR-71 blackbird somewhere. :lol
If I get really creative I could even build a convoy escort gun truck.

i, personally, would avoid the Revell Vigilante like a serious illness; its currently sitting 2nd in my all time list of worst excuses for a kit ever produced ! of course, others may swear by it; i just swore at it and abandoned it.....Pugz636 wrote:i am in with a 1:72 A-5 Vigilante.. i have a choice of two kits, Airfix or Revell.
