Very nice...looks like you got away with missing the nose weight.
Sound!

Personally, I'd now be scared witless re spoiling that lovely transparency.

Thanks for the kind words guys,

I must admit it was heading for the open window at one stage, but a slooowwww count to ten and then putting it out of sight for a couple of days helped restore my mojo :-D

Here's the chin turret in a before and after type piccie:

Image

I had a rummage through the wife's drawers  and found a good fitting bottle top off one of her many make-up/perfume bottles. Why do they need so many :???:

I had the guns in the kit, but they needed drilling out. Once it has the sharks mouth decal on it then it should look OK.

The weight of the canopy seemed to help, but I packed the nose section out with milliput, just in case. ;-) Thanks again for the tip.

Chip, an intriguing solution to your turret problem. It’s good to know that your wives draws still bring you so much joy.

She did notice you were in there right?

Awesome scratchbuild on the turret,

Good idea would never have thought of that, I might start rumaging through the wifes perfume drawers to see what I can find, or maybe not..........not brave enough yet! :ha:

As requested:

As it is a 1:32 scale I thought I would have a go at the airbrush. (Oh no, not again I hear you cry)

So I did a coat of black primer and it came out really well

So today, in a rather confident mood I did a coat of olive, and guess what,

IT WORKED :-D

It appears that my problem in the past was due to not thining the mix down enough.

Tonight I need to tackle this gap that has appeared:

I'm sure it wasn't there when I put the primer on

Hopefully I should be able to get the old girl unwrapped and tarted up ready for the decals over the next couple of days. I may even make the cut off date at this rate. :ha:
