Thought I'd better get a shift on.

The assembly seems simple enough, but looking at the decal sheet, it'll take me ages.

Anyway, here's the cockpit, you won't see much when it's all closed up

Nice start Dave, It's always a shame that we as modelers put so much effort and detail into something that'll never bee seen. That said I think it looks great. Keep up the good work

Excellent start Dave, its a pity the cockpit will be lost inside tiny windows.

Been away unexpectedly, so now playing a bit of catchup.

I put some tags on the inside of the fuselage to help it go together. still left a big seem.

Got the seam sanded down eventually, we'll see how it looks after painting. You might be able to see the cockpit, as the windows are quite large and clear.

Fitted wings

Fitted nacelles and windscreen

Fitted bits and bobs on the underside

Still need to mask the canopy and see how the seams look under a cot or two of paint.

I have a couple of days off work so still might be able to hit the target :-)

Keep going. Good job you did that nice cockpit...it really does look as if you'll be able to see it, now it's all closed up.

Nice work David. I'm glad to see you're making progress on this one. There is something about the P-3 I like.

Just a few bits to add to the exterior, then a couple of coats of Klear then lots and lots and lots of Decals and a bit of dirtying up.

Here's how we stand at the moment.

I am just applying the decals to the props, then need to apply decals to the engines, add the few antenna and spray coat with Klear.

Should be completed tonight.

I will post some completed pics tomorrow.

Cheers
