Tommy
I just found the email with the tracking info on my kit. It states that it was delivered on 13 july. Here we are 13 days later and still no kit. Very disapointing as I was really looking forward to building my first Meatball.

Today I got going on this one. The first photo is of all the parts.

Image

The first thing I did is to sort out all the parts that I did not need and put them in spare parts treasure box. I did some clean up on the interior parts and the engine. I had to fill various sink marks here and there. I plugged the propeller shaft hole on the engine with some sprue from the kit. I will file it down later and re-drill it for a smaller diameter shaft that will fit the Aeroclub prop that I am using.

Tommy,

Looking forward to seeing more of this - the red stripe and tail should look great on it when it's finished!

Now get back to your hunchback!

Interesting choice for this one Tommy - this is the old Mania kit isn't it? Massively advanced for its day - and - well, still around now! How's the moulding looking on this? Have the sink marks and flash started creeping in? I'll be interested to see how this one turns out. Always thought the Jill looked better while the Kate looked a tad nose heavy...

Anyway... good luck

Hi Chris,

Thanks!

Yes this is the old Mania kit. The mold is still in pretty good shape at least as it pertains to my model. Only a few sink marks to fill.

As it stands, this one will have to be finished outside of the build.
