Edit: Found this. Looks like it could be silver :)
You're probably right Brews. Mine is painted Floquil Gun Metal (its a bluish silver) just for show. I am prone to painting stuff that way.

That YouTube video was great and I don't know if anyone noticed but one of those SM79s had two torpedos shackled to its belly. Yea!

Tommy
On a closer look it looks like the aircraft with the two torpedos in the video is an SM84 - the SM79's successor. The SM84 has twin tails/rudders.

Was a propaganda video: that SM 79 had two torpedoes, it's true, but never used in combat, just for transport airfield to airfield.
Doing a SM 79 with two torpedoes can be correct the same.

Looking good Tommy. Just about 2 weeks left I think you should have plenty of time to get it done. ;-)

Thanks!

I've finished the painting aspect of this model. Been super busy with overtime at the day job that its a wonder I got this far. I will install the landing gear parts tomorrow and then apply the gloss coat.

At first I was not sure how I would like the weird gray front end scheme on this model, but after removing the masking tape I think its nice after all.
