That wing structure looks more like advanced part6 glad you sorted some figures out.

added the end struts...as they are "butt" joints i have had to strengthen with some plasticard...

Smethwick, I dont know if it's just me but the nearest two ribs in that last photo look to be the wrong way round when compared to all the others
Hope it is just me, great start though!

this is the first part of the wing to be attached..the bottom mid section...you can see the white strengthening "tabs"...it would be too awkward to fix the wing secton with it all together...

Progress...butted up the two long struts on each wing....

Now that's what I call a wing!

Interesting wing construction, not usually seen in plastic kits.
I just hope you test fit that the wing shells would fit tightly around all that structure !

because the wings are made up of several "panels" ..it is not possible to do that...
according to the reference builds i have read on the internet..the wings are the big problem and do not fit correctly. and some modifications are necessary

Re: Smeth....Soviet TB-3
I remember when I opened the box off this kit, I put it immediately in the stash. I was overwhelmed by what I saw on the sprues. Now, many years later and a bit more experience I should deal with it some time soon. You're doing a fine job and I'm looking forward to this build.

Re: Smeth....Soviet TB-3
Hows it going Smethwick? are you still building fuselage ribs? or fitting wing panels?
