Folks,

OK, that's it for me. I glued props & spinners together this afternoon. The paddle blade props were real old new Airfix, with a very thick, almost square cross-section. I spent a "happy" hour watching the film of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy this evening while madly filing, trying to get the cross-section to more resemble aerofoils. They're definitely improved - but . . . .

Anyway, I also put together the interior of the rear turret, then sprayed this and the props satin black (it was to hand). Just given the Dark Green camouflage another coat and I'll decide in the morning whether it needs another.

<Edit: This is where I actually got to by the end of the GB timescale. Haven't had the opportunity to post this week as have been away with work>

Sorry I didn't complete, but thanks for letting me take part, and many thanks to GBL and DGBL for their efforts.

I'll finish off the Lanc in my Workbench Window thread.

regards,

Martin

Looks great Martin, it's going to look really great when she's done.

I'll be joining you in the GB finishers head hang of shame... Image

@ Bruce,

Thanks!

@ Jim,

I'm sure they'll both be worth the wait. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing your Stirling finished.

Martin
