Re: Barry's C-140 JetStar
This is a good looking aircraft and I've only just managed to catch up with your build. Some challenges, overcome with aplomb. Should look good with some paint on.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Thanks Guys!
It's just another way to produce a kit Shangos...as long as you can find your subjects in plastic there's no reason to mess with it.

That's a good solution on the nacelle fix, sure beats trying to find a similar diameter rod/tube to stick in -- I'll file away for future.

Re: Barry's C-140 JetStar
Getting this painted was really a struggle for me. I sure hope it turns out ok in the end.

Great build. The Jetstar is one aircraft I'd like to have in my built collection. I may have to get one of these.

The paint looks fine from where I am Barry. That is a very cool looking jet.

Re: Barry's C-140 JetStar
In that tight area between the fuselage and wing/engine overlap, this is from the spray bouncing off the opposing surfaces.
Also, note the color difference between the greens in the 9 March post of the model in gloss. In the 'flat' finish, it isn't nearly as apparent. I think it would have looked much better if I had lightened all of the colors some.

Bad luck with the paint, just when it was coming together so well.

Oh, I don't know Barry - in the flesh, I remember all 3 colours were quite similar in tone - and very flat.

Annd whatever the paint finish, surely you have access to Humbrol Mattcote, or Satincote?
