Ball turret painted , not entirely accurate but heyho. Fuselage now joined i think i should have added the nose and tail as half pieces rather than complete units . Would have made sanding and filling easier. Tailplanes and rudder also added. Muchco masking of clear parts to do now .

The chunky glass must be a feature of Matchbox kits. I have the same problem with my Halifax. The rest of the build seems to be coming together quite nicely though.

Glazing masked , a coat of primer shows up area where the nose and tail butt joins need more work . If i can't get them something like I may have to go for an Drab / neautral grey finish to hide it .

Bit of sanding to do Shangos? join the club  Looking good though, I don't think I've seen the MB B17G built. A NMF is a pig for showing any builder's "discrepancies" as I'm sure you're aware. At least there's the OD over grey option!

Err just a bit of sanding , fixing the tailplanes in makes it harder to get at but im close. I've got the big wing fuse join to do next plus getting the right dihedral in too. Also managed to snap a few of the gun barrels as these had to be fitted first . Oh the joys .

I feel your pain Shane, thought I'd found all the bits that needed doing on the Halifax only to remember that I still had to sand the wing leading edges

Tom , don't mention those leading edges ... I've attacked them about 3 times now , think i've sorted them but still some areas on the wing /fuse join to sort .

You seem to be making some headway Shane. FWIW you have my sympathy with the sanding

This is looking really good Shane. It's particularly impressive considering the age of the kit :)
