I haven't built a Matchbox B-17 but I have two Academy Forts in progress and can say with all confidence that it takes quite a bit of effort but in the end will be worth it. Keep up the good work

Sanding and respraying is a pain in the rear end and it's very easy to make a total mess (guess how I know!) but this is looking very promising. These old kits are certainly not easy at times!

Too true Shaun, but it makes the end result so much more satisfying

State of play at the moment , wings need masking now for de-icer boots and olive drab anti glare panels . Used Revell aqua paints for the red and aluminium airbrushed on .The engine cowls have been painted gloss white .

I will need to make some more gun barrels as i've managed to snap a few .

That looks like a very good NMF Shane and I'm sure it'll look great when the decals are on.

That is a very sharp looking bit of painting there Shane, I'm sure this will look very good when finished.
