That is a very sharp looking bit of painting there Shane, I'm sure this will look very good when finished.

One the final leg now, unfortunatly the decals were a little past it an coating them with decal film didn't really make it any easier . The sharp eyed amongst you will notice that the aircraft should be coded lg-y along the fuselage , Matchbox has only seen fit to print one of the large "Y"s so I have left it off. Anyhow, gloss coated to seal everything in then will spray a satin finish over it and add the nose glazing and unmask.

Decals always bring a kit to life and she's looking really good now Shane. Pity about the Y issue, don't worry though, we won't tell

Cheers all for the interest . Brews, there are 2 small "y"s for the rudder and should be one large one for either side of the fuselage. I did scan the one I had and printed it onto clear decal paper , however i don't have any spray decal sealant and brushing makes the ink run . I may make a mask but I don't want to bugger it up at this stage, although i could actually paint it onto to the clear decal paper and apply as normal.

You can brush on Humbrol's Clear cote without disturbing the water based ink. I'm sure any other non-acrylic varnish will work too.
