That is looking great Shane, untill your build I'd never seen the M'box Fort in the flesh but it looks to be a pretty nice kit.

I can't wait to see the end result. I can recall building the same kit many moons ago and it was no where near as good as your effort.

Sorry to hear about the redundancy. I've had 2 in the last 4 years as the bottom fell out of the steel market. Managed to find something a little more secure but it still isn't nice constantly looking over your shoulder. I hope you find some gainful employment soon.

Thanks again for the comments , not much done this last few days due to starting back at work !!! Back at the same place I was at 10yrs ago. Min wage but only 10miles from home rather than 90 in my last. Leaves the redundo in the bank for stash enhancement!. Anyhoo just the nose glazing to add but I have to paint the frame for the flat optical panel . Guns have been repaired and need a dab of paint .

Here she is B-17G-35-Dl 322nd Bomb Sqdn ,91st Bomb Group , 8th A.F. Bassingbourne 1944.
I decided not to add the missing Y code and left her "clean" . There was an inspection so she was buffed up .

Thanks for all the comments and encouragement along the way . Its not a bad old kit if lacking in detail . If I was to do it again I would have painted the black wing markings as these decals were beyond their best .
Just the Mbox Lanc and Privateer to do .

She looks superb Shane. The markings are a little different from what I've seen before.

Nice one Shane. Pity you couldn't have brought it along to club night at Aeroventure.

All the best.
