Timet10 1/48th Arado AR234 build

Post by timet10 »

Hi all

This is the kit I am going to build

This is the contents

I bought the kit last year second hand. Looking at the decals I am unsure if they will be ok but I will be giving them a try. Although a Revell boxing I think that the kit is a Hasegawa moulding. The quality of the parts looks excellent with no flash.

This will be only my third 1/48th scale build as I usually build in 1/72nd.

Regards

It IS a good kit. AFAIK, Revell/Monogram contributed by tooling the bits required to make the C version. Otherwise it's Hase origins.

If this kit has had extra mouldings added then the tool makers have done a superb job as they marry up really well (unlike some upgrades /Modifications I have seen)

Hi All

I have made some progress on this kit. Below is a picture of the front wheel before glueing it together. I glued small fishing weights into the wheel so that it will help keep the nose wheel on the deck.

Image

The quality is not great but the black line is the weights. I have also painted the pilots seat and assembled the undercarriage legs. I added some fine wires to the under carriage legs to replicate brake lines.

I have continued to assemble the cockpit, glue the wings together, paint and prepare the undercarriage bays, and assemble the engine pods. I,ll post some more pics soon.

Cheers
