The wings don't fit

When I did a dry test fit I found they are a little too wide. Not sure how I'm going to handle this at the moment. Need to have a think about it.

Can you post some photos of the problem? Maybe someone can help?

That's not good, if you're well and tuly stuck follow Dirk's suggestion and post some pics. I hope this issue doesn't stall your build for too long.

Individually each half of a wing fit.

But when joined together they do not quite get in and there is a gap at the top.

I think the issue is with the putting together of the wing halves. When I cleaned one of them up a bit I was able to get the full wing into the fusalage properly so hopefully that's panic over!

Thank Gawd for that! A good solution and hopefully it's onward and upward from now on. I don't remember this problem back in the 70's when I built mine - I bet I just bodged the wings in somehow prior to slapping on some Olive Drab and hanging the thing from my bedroom ceiling, ah the joys of carefree youth

I like those wing joints where the wing goes into the fuselage - you usually get a nice seamless connection.

They are a neat feature so long as they fit right!

If they do though, it makes it possible to paint wings and fuselage as separate units and join them together afterwards with no nasty seams to worry about. Makes painting much easier :)

Good to see that some of us are now getting the wings on  The Lib is a handsome beast, nicer looking that the Fortress IMHO.

Looks good with some paint on. It doesn't look as big as I was imaging it.

Cheers
