At last both halves are now together and the bombbay has been fitted.

Looking good Splash, I'm sure the internal detail will be well worth the effort once the transparencies are on and will give a good impression of something going on in there!. The bouncing dustbin has certainly benefited from your additional labours

Re: Splash's Dambuster AJ-J
The fuselage is now together and it has highlighted a bad join at the front of the new bomb bay and a slight dip at the rear.
Always ready to try out new techniques I thought I would have a go at filling the gap at the front using superglue and talc, my first attempt at mixing the the talc with the superglue I added to much talc and as I mixed it it all of a sudden it gave off a whiff of smoke and set instantly. Second attempt I mixed in less talc until it formed a not quite runny mix, this was applied with a tooth pick and given a quick squirt of kicker to speed up the set.
After ten minutes of sanding I'm happy with the result and will use this technique again, to sort out the slight dip at the rear I just added filler and will now have to wait for it to set.

Looking really good so far Splash, defo going to look brilliant with all the extra work youve done once your finished and ive had the same problem with the bombbay insert, was wondering if it was a problem with my piece or not, guess not in the end

Good work Splash, but smoking filler? I'll stick to the Polyfiller out of a tube I think
