Not much progress in the last hour but the seats have been given another coat of paint and fitted to the interior.

The paint on the bodyshell has dried so I'll be giving it another coat next.

Still over 11 hours to go so I should be OK.

On the box it says 112mm which is about four and a half inches so its quite small.

I've got the dashboard painted and fitted the single spoke steering wheel.

I've also finished painting the underside.

Not much left to do now but I think I should have got the bodyshell painted earlier. I've got until 8.30 tomorrow morning to finish so if it comes to the worst I can always get up early.

The second coat of ivory dried pretty quickly so I've been able to paint the pillars & door handles, apply the 8 decals and fit the grille/front bumper and the headlamp bowls.

Image

I need to paint the inside of the bodyshell, fit the lights and do any touching up that's needed.

Fortunately no, just a rather late nighter as I've just finished.

I got the lights fitted OK but there is a small crack at the base of the windscreen as it was a very tight fit, you probably wouldn't notice it unless you looked for it.

I enjoyed the build. I was pleased how quickly it went together and the end result looks good (but then, a Citroen DS always looks good). I have a Peugeot 403 in the stash so that might be coming out next time.

I'll take some pics for the Gallery in the morning.

Great work Tim! Can you take a couple of photos with the car in focus today (rather than the clock) it desires it ;-)

Great result there, especially given the difficulties of a gloss finish on the acres of car surface area!
