That decal is not bad at all. Many Huey's had a Combat Aviation Battalion emblem on the nose and several were close to that design. A favorite souvenior was taking the avionics bay cover off and trying to send it home. Those bay covers were exchanged on a regular basis. So you are still "in Theme."

bit more done....not as neat as i would have liked. it wants to be a tail sitter too, hoping that once the rotor is on it will tip the point of balance forward

Looks good to me. On short bodied Huey's, the forward blade should right the balance. Looks like you on a short final to landing.
