I’m on short finals with this one, only the sticky out bits to fit and to do some weathering.

Looking good Splash.

I see that you put the clear parts - windscreen/canopy - on after painting the fuselage. I take it that you mask and paint the clear parts separately before attaching them? Do you use Krystal Kleer? Any other issues?

Hi John

I’m a bit lazy when it comes to canopies, with this canopy when I dry fitted it, it looked like a good fit with strong moulded frame lines and was very clear. So I simply finished painting the fuselage and cockpit before adding the canopy (no Klear).

As it has good well defined frame lines I just free hand, painted the frames and cleaned up the edges using a cocktail stick once the paint had dried.

Quick update this will be finished today or tomorrow, the only things I will miss out is the HF arials down the side as I intend to fold the blades at a later date.
