Re: Pugz 1:72 Jolly Green Giant
ok cockpit needed adjustment so that glass fairing fitted, sorted...put the front fairing on and the instrument panel fell off...pull off fairing and refitted instrument panel. Have refitted front fairing using pva glue and left to set.... meanwhile i am constructing the tanks and engines.
(cant afford to stop time is of the essence)....
Once all sub assemblies set i have fitted the engines and applied the first coat of Gunship Grey...whilst i construct the main gear and sponsons.....

Re: Pugz 1:72 Jolly Green Giant
Hope you manage to finish it on time. I've still got quite a bit to do on my Hind so the extra couple of days has come in handy.

Re: Pugz 1:72 Jolly Green Giant
well the best laid plans of mice and men and all that..i was up early to watc hthe korean grand prix and fell asleep missed the last 11 laps....but on a positive note its been an industrious afternoon and is usual with my builds not without the dramas, whilst trying to fix the fins n the drop tanks the pylon snapped and the kit dropped from my hand. Damage as minimul tho, but it means the tail rotor is now fixed....the fins are now on tho and it made me very nervous about picking up the kit in case i dropped it again, but during deal or no deal live i added some decals and weathered the fuselage as none of these helicopters were even clean.....but on an even more positve note aside from touching up i have finished....photos uploading will post shorrtly

Re: Pugz 1:72 Jolly Green Giant
in Summary this kit surprised me, i didnt have to use filler once, I used PVA glue to fill in some of the transparency gaps but in some cases the fit was really tight.and when i say tight some of the fits were almost snap fit, ( would make scotsmen appear spendthrifts in comparison they were that tight...LOL). I really enjoyed this build and it didnt cease to amaze me i was sort of expecting to use filler and everything.
yes the kit presented challenges, when i decided to kit the ramp down i didnt figure it would be so difficult to try and glue it on one position, but after it had been dropped it sorta kyboshed my plan and took alot of time for super glue to do its thing.
But the finished result looks the part of a PaveLow III...
Thanks again for looking, it is a testament to this forum that this kit got build at all.....
