OK, long weekend in NSW, so got some modelling done. The Sea Hurricane/VC 10/Vanguard and final touches on the valiant have been put to one side and the Sabre commenced. It's the new mold Airfix so is pretty nice, the panel lines aren't as deep as some of the other new releases. I've somehow managed to purchase two. ( oh well never mind )

The decals

The intake trunking is bulky and helpfully has ' 3 grams' engraved on it, however it weighs nowhere near that......so

More to come....

No, there are no 75 Sqn ones on the sheet. This picture has some good detail on the 'winders though. Was the Sabre able to carry the drop tanks and the missiles, or were they mutually exclusive ?

Good question - both, I would think, as the drop tank hardpoints are further out on the wing.

Here's another shot:

Yeah they are, but the avionics may have only permitted carrying one....

I have a set of High Planes decals and, if you want them, you can have my spares.

OK - I've just realised that the kit doesn't have the right pylons for sidewinders anyway, so it will be carrying drop tanks only.....
