This morning, even with a head cold coming on, I was able to finish up the Val.

Here is the gun mount after the rear clear piece was cut out.

Overall, it was a really fun build. It fits very well and for a 70's release has a fair amount of detail. I think one could pick this kit up at a show or Ebay and a cheap price and have a nice Val in the collection.

Nah. That is a big piece of safety glass. I stumbled onto it at a local glass shop. When I gave the guy my dimensions he said. "Wait a minute." He came out with the exact piece which had been cut wrong for another customer. $20.00USD. Sometimes I do get glare from my magnifying desk lamp or worse still, spilling my coffee/tea and it seeps under it. :lol:
