It doesn't half look like a Jug in that paint scheme.

Now you mention it, there's definitely a similarity! I guess that's another good reason not to use the SEAC markings in the end.

Oh, I didn't mean it as a bad thing. I like the old Thunderbolt.

Brews wrote:Speaking of the stripes, what colour did you use for those. They're distinctly different from the wing root walkways.
Stripes were meant to be Roundel Blue. I used Humbrol 104, Oxford Blue, which seems to match the roundels quite well. The wing root walkways were Academy decals from their Tempest V and are very glossy. I will go over them with Revell 09 Anthracite to dull them down and make them less - erm - black.

Thanks all,

Slow progress due to decorating; however the dining room is now finished in time for Christmas so my wife is happy.

Steady but unspectacular progress; just got the canopy to fit and associated frame lines to paint and it's done. I hope to have pictures by tomorrow evening.

regards,

Martin

Nicely done Martin. Reminds me a little of a P47N with the squarded off wingtips.

Good job.
