Re: Chips Focke Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein
Having taken some inspiration from Kruaxi's mega scratch building session on his Huckebein, I have tarted up the cockpit a bit on mine:
The pilot is from the Revell WWII pilots box, back and side cockpit walls made from an old credit card, and the side consoles from a bit of square(ish) sprue.
This is my first PM kit, I reckon it is quite well detailed and goes together nicely. The plastic is quite soft compared to other makes, and it is taking a bit of getting used to with my over zealous sanding.

This is going together so quickly I keep forgetting to take piccies.
She is now primed up ready for painting:
In my haste I forgot to add any nose weight, but thankfully the added cockpit detail is keeping it on its wheels.
I am also adding a couple of bombs from the spares box.

Re: Chips Focke Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein
Today I gave her a coat of Revell 47 Mousegrey as a base coat.
Followed by splodges of Revell 67 Greenish Grey.
It is the first time I have tried this type of camo and it seems to have come out OK. I used an airbrush on very low air pressure to do it.

Re: Chips Focke Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein
After viewing this in the daylight it was apparent that it was too light, so I attacked it with a cut down Q-tip, and once dry applied the decals:
After a coat of Klear I applied a light wash to the panel lines to finish it off:
I have added another couple of piccies to the Gallery.
Overall this was a fun build that went together reasonably quickly. It did need a bit of additional work to make it presentable in the cockpit, but for less than £3 you can't complain.

Whilst cleaning up the workbench today I came across a pot that contained 4 undercarriage doors !?
Doh. I forgot to put them on this.
Now it is finished.

Well done, it looks great, I like the unusual colour scheme, it suits grey.
I don’t know about you, but when I built mine, the more I worked on the little kit the more I enjoyed it, it really is a bargain at under £3, I thought about doing another in all black as a night fighter.
Regards
