"Reasonably happy"?? God, I'd be ecstatic if mine came out looking like that! :ha:

That is a first class model and a very fine effort indeed.

I just got that kit, along with the Pegasus effort at the same thing - they are not equivalent.

I do not think all panel lines are correct, especially on the wings, which are really just a modified later version (where the cannon bumps were is still visible).

Anyway, I might do mine for the Spitfire GB.

Indeed I think the Pegasus offering does have a few issues, but sanding off the cannon blisters shouldn't take much effort. ;-)

Sorry, I was obscure. I was talking about the CMR kit - my wing shows where the cannon blisters were filled in the mold to the conversion and the majority of wing panel lines appear to be a later version, a couple on the fuselage also. They are indeed minor corrections.

The Pegasus kit starts with "Cut the two fuselage halves from the sprue then sand until they match up."

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Ouch! Well then it's back to the filling, scribing and sanding board then....LOL

Well worth the effort. That looks really good.
So many models, so little time.
