Something I did this weekend. A very quick build, but a very satisfying one.
It is the Esci 1/72 Sopwith camel kit build as a sopwith camel which flew of the USS Texas in the 20's.

Don't know this kit: is it a naval Camel? In any event it looks very good and in unusual colours which makes it more interesting.

It is the Sopwith Camel from the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Fl.
I just couldn't find a snoopy to put in the cockpit.

That is a really nice (and unusual) scheme. Did the markings come with the Esci kit, Navy One?

HI migrant, The roundels are from an old scalemaster sheet with US markings from the 1920's to 30's.
The USS Texas letters are from a new sheet microscale decals US navy style lettering.
All seperatly cut out and placed on the model.
here is a link to the lettering decals ,

Thanks for your interest regards, Paul.
