Wot's the best Eurofighter Typhoon kit in 1/72????

Which 1/72 EF Typhoon kit is best in terms of accuracy and detail if I was wanting to build an RAF FGR.4

I am pretty sure that the Revell kits are the best in this scale.

I haven't built any of them, and I'm by no means a specialist on Eurofighters, but I have the Italeri, Revell and Hasegawa in the stash. I could do a first glance comparison between them, and/or go into some details if you can tell me what to look for. Let me know if that helps.

The Revell kit seems to be generally well thought of in 1/72 but I've also seen good reviews of the Hasegawa product as well. I have the Revell 1/48th single-seater in the stash, which is an excellent looking kit and I would tend to go for their kit in the smaller scale as I've come to trust the Blue Team in recent years to produce decent, accurate (enough for me anyway) kits at very reasonable prices - for instance had your query been about 1/72 Tornadoes then I would have recommended the Revell kit unreservedly.

I don't have the Revell kit to compare with, but the Hasegawa kit is in my stash and it's superb. Unusually for Hasegawa it comes with a huge selection of weapons/underwing stores, a pilot with separate arms, great decal sheet with loads of stencilling and even a clear 'in-flight' stand.

As does mine, but I should point out there are marking on the box reading "bonus in first production", "display stand", and "bonus parts". Those underwing stores are also sold as a separate weapons set. I wouldn't count on them being in all boxings of the kit..
On the brighter side, there's enough ammo there to do three complete loadouts, so a single fully armed boxing or weapons set goes a long way.

I've heard good things about the Revell kit, but those same sources seem to think that the Hasegawa model has the better of it, both for accuracy (though don't ask me for details) and stuff like the pilot and weapons. I certainly like the Hasegawa model, though it is expensive and hard to get hold of at the moment. Against that, there is at least one re-release coming up -- the BoB paint scheme -- so patience could be a virtue in this case.

Thanks for the replies.. I cast my net out and ended up getting a Hasegawa kit with the weapons and a set of Olimp Resin Cans also in the kit..
