Looks impressive so far. I presume this must be a derivative of the Heller kit?

That's some serious detailing!
Best wishes

According to another web site, it is basically the Heller kit but with extras and a massive extra price tag of just under £100. Only 1000, however, have been produced.

That is some brilliant detail work, but it begs the question "How much will be seen once the body is assembled?"
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I love seeing lots of detail work going into kits. Keep up the good work - I shall follow this with interest.

Wonderful work George. Hopefully it will be possible to see enough of that lovely detail though the windows once the fuselage is closed up.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Stunning work. I built the Heller one quite a few years ago. Not sure if it was me or the kit but mine eventually cracked on the upper fuselage joint because the wings flexed. I've put a spar in on my 'what if' connie build and will do the same on my EC121 I have in the stash.
All the best.

Most intriguing, and good-looking results already.
I also built the Heller kit way back when, without any attempt to improve it, and it is still 'hanging about'.
Apart from all this PE detail that will help here and there, I believe the shape of the original engine cowlings are a weakness.
cheers,
David

thanks for the appreciation and interest shown in this work .
Regarding the weak point ( engine cowlings ) , I hope that with the new set of resin Plusmodel , there are no problems .
best regards

thanks for the comment and interest in this work .
Unfortunately I think of all this detail will be seen very little even though I left the door open access .

Re: Project "Warning Star": Lockheed EC-121D Plusmodel kit
Hi to all
After painting the interior of the model , I assembled the resin engine provided by Plus Model ( optional) . I've scratch built the engine open parts and the front radiator .
I replaced the rudders with the resin ( Plusmodel ) , ailerons and flaps .
I corrected the ribs of the motors attack, opened the door and left the three portholes on the right side terminal as in real models .
I applied in the wheel bay , the photoetched parts .
For the moment it is all

Thanks for the attention .
