That looks sweet. Nice work Daz. Now I'm going to have to add some aircraft with 'meatballs' as roundels to my stash after seeing that.

All the best.

I admire your bottle doing a starfix kit. I done the spit & 109 years ago and the rivets WERE like a bad dose of smallpox.
A bit of info for you Aeromaster do a booklet called Eagles of the Rising Sun. It contains various styles and sizes of Hinomaru along with other decals for several aircraft, pilot info, unit info and lots of plates of various aircraft.
Hope this is of some help

Interesting. Might have to pick that up.

The Starfix Zero now sits with my movie models collection, alongside a Zero from the film Pearl Harbor.

...I like to build old kits, too, didn´t do a Starfix yet, but who knows?
it looks a lot similar to the Matchbox Zero, don´t you think?
a rip-off of MB´s Zero, maybe?
I just finished an eastern block Polish rip off of Airfix old MiG-15.... :-D
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

No, your faculties are perfectly in order. Go for it. It's not perfect but it's a cheap fun build. Don't be put off by rumour and prejudice.
