And another one off the list - "K5054" from the film The First of the Few.

I took a photo of the model from this angle to compare it to the shot from the film that I posted earlier. I would say that the "light grey" was pretty close.

The kit is the old-tool Airfix Spitfire IA, with the two-blade prop from the new-tool version. Decals are from the kit. So far as I can see from the film, the Spitfire playing K5054 didn't wear any markings apart from the roundels and flashes, so it looks like this one is done!

The looks really good to me Daren, a great replica of a replica of the first Spitfire!

Cheers, Shaun.

It was a nice, quick and easy build. I know it's a bit dated these days, but I do love that old Mk.I kit!

Found another couple of warbirds to add to this list, and one that might make an appearance soon:

Two of these wee beasties just rocked up to Castle Cogdon.

Gotta love the classics! They'll be turned into Spitfire "movie stars" in the near future.

I've just put this film on for a spin - been way too long since I last saw it....!

And, of course, I need a Mosquito now....!

633 is indeed a classic Daren and I haven't seen it for a while either. I think at least some of the Mossies in the film were bomber versions with the nose glazing painted over and faux machine-guns added - although I don't know how many actual aircraft were used as opposed to models. Nice to see that late 70's Spit Mk I kit will be getting an airing in due course.

Another couple of film star Spits from Battle of Britain, both of them from the old-tool Airfix Spitfire Mk.IA.

Mk.IA AR213/G-AIST:

This shot shows the modifications made to AR213 prior to filming - in addition to the four-blade propeller, '213 has the later circular oil cooler, the six-stub exhaust pipes and the internal armoured glass windscreen.

A great pair Daren, the old Airfix kit builds up well with a bit of TLC.

Is that the 1/32 scale kit with the two figures?

It's not, no, it's this one:

I have a bad feeling that some other WW1 types will come to the collection soon.

Doesn't Revell do a Nieuport 28??
