Great work with the Heinkel.

Cheers. It came out OK in the end, I reckon! It's not 100% accurate, but it does fill a rather large hole in the collection.

Great result with the Casa 111; not an easy conversion by any stretch!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: Daz's Movie Madness!
I finished off the Dunkirk Buchon and Spitfires earlier. Rather than fit the full compliment of dummy guns, as per the real thing, I just left the model without any armament. Somehow it looks a bit more menacing without! Pics later.
Of course, there will be ANOTHER round of Dunkirk-inspired models made very soon....!

Yes, another Dunkirk Spit done, using the venerable FROG kit....
This one was done for the recent blitzbau GB.
I'll be doing another Buchon and Spitfire pairing in the Golden Oldie GB soon.
I actually have one whole shelf that is just filled with film Spitfires....

This wee dude has been looking a bit forlorn, lying on my window sill for a while.
I think a spruce up is in order - but which film....??

A view of the collection - so far!!
Battle of Britain.
There's at least two more aircraft still to go in there - and someone has mentioned the Ju52 at the start of the film should be in there, too!
The Spitfire shelf.
Yep, every single one of those models is an aircraft from a film! Some of them are from the same film (Reach for the Sky, for instance, has three, as does Malta Story). And there's still more to add....!
An odds-and-sods shelf.
The Mitchell currently sits by itself, although there is the possibility of a Lancaster joining it in the near future, along with a few others.
I really need to try and organise these better!

Re: Daz's Movie Madness!
A recent addition to the collection is this restored Frog Spitfire IA.
If it looks a bit familiar, it's because I did a Novo/Frog Spit in similar markings a while ago, made up to look like the models used in the film A Yank in the RAF. However, this aircraft does appear in the flying sequences:
(It's the aircraft at the rear of the shot)
The special significance of this aircraft is that it might be a survivor - Spitfire IA R6915, which currently resides in the Imperial War Museum in London!
