Airfix 1/72 BV 141 B-02 V10
While I am in the doldrums, here is one of my older models resurrected in front of the camera.
This 1970 kit is still the only 1/72 game in town.
From this angle it looks almost normal.
But then there is this!
Aaagh! Unimpeded view supposedly results from this configuration for the reconnaissance role.
All that glazing is challenging, and I was lucky to achieve this much!
Because of that weird shape, I think this kit is still popular in the Airfix catalogue.
Half a dozen were trialed, but the more conventional Fw-189 won the production contracts.
Guaranteed to elicit comment at any display!
Thanks for looking,
David

That's a superb build David. You've done a cracking job on getting the glazing so neat.

I like that...a lot. Nice exhaust staining and paintwork. I keep looking at mine in the stash, this could be the inspiration to start.

Grand job - good looking model with sharp thin glazing frames.

Nicely done. I have one of the recent releases of this in the stash but the thoughts of the canopy framing puts me off.

Re: Airfix 1/72 BV 141 B-02 V10
Thanks, guys. Everyone has mentioned the glazing. I have little patience for trying to mask all that, so I used the hairy stick and cocktail stick method.
I am grateful for a steady hand so far!
Cheers,
David

I built one in my youth then a couple of years ago my brother gave me one along with some other 2nd hand kits for Christmas. It's one of those kit that you want to build even if your not into the subject matter. Lovely weather and shading on this, I can feel mine floating up the the to-do pile.

Terrific build. And yes, you tamed the clear parts well.

It´s a weired bird that almost everybody has done at some stage for some weired reason! Even my lad - who only ever built two kits - did a Spit and this one!

I remember buying one of these in the 80s from our local Cash & Carry (in a Type 8 box), a classic Airfix kit for me

Nice one. I have built one of these as well and yes the cockpit glazing was a challenge but well worth the results. Still one of the coolest looking aircraft that never made it.

Very cool!
You did well with the glazing. Those airfix frames with their uncertain boundaries are never easy.

What a beauty! You did a much better job of it than I did with mine. The glazing was such a chore and you made it look easy.
Re: Airfix 1/72 BV 141 B-02 V10
In the eighties when I was at secondary school, me and my friend always said we should build this one as it was so odd looking. We never did get around to it and although I've had recent issues of it in my stash, still no completed model!!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!
