Really nice, Ian. Some of those shots are quite dramatic with the Spit's steep angle and dark background.

Stunning. Just to ask, maybe it's my eyesight, are the wheel doors not painted?.

Well spotted Mark. The wheels have been painted but a few days after I painted the undersides of the fuselage. The effect I was after is for them to look like they are replacements doors hence the slightly different shade. It was just an idea I had and I though I would give it ago.

Very well built model! It looks terrific.

I might consider replacing the kinked rod with a piece of clear acrylic rod heated and bowed, rather than bent. Something about this pulls the eye away from the beautiful spitfire model. Seriously, that is one cracker-jack of a spitfire model!

I have one of these in the stash. Having seen yours, I might just leave it there. I can get my Spitfire fix by gazing lovingly at the pictures of your build. It truly is magnificent.
