Hasegawa Mig 27 1/72 Flogger D

Post by shangos70 »

Finished this one at the end of last month, a long drawn out build for a simple kit. I never really had much love for it hence its long gestation. Had a few different coats of paint until I was I settled on this scheme. Painted with Akan (tan/ light green and underside blue/grey) and Xtracrylix. I added the cockpit side armour panels and changed the AAMs to some from the Yak Forger kit.
It's about time a new injection molded Mig 27 was released.

Mig 27 -unknown regiment, Soviet Forces East Germany (according to the instructions).

That's a really nice result from this old clunker of a kit.
I agree that it's not the best looking aircraft. Quite an ugly duckling.

This kit has arguably seen better days but that is a great result from it Shane.

Looks very good. You have done marvels with what must be one of Hasegawa's worst kits.
