Curtiss O-1 Falcon; 1/72 Sierra Scale Models

Post by vacant »

Yes, it's yet another with yellow wings, this time for the U. S. Army. It's the Sierra Scale Models vacform 1/72 kit of the Curtiss Falcon.

The kit comes with cast metal struts that are far too thick and wide. I did my best to make them thinner and less wide, but they are still not quite right. In retrospect, I should have replaced them with something scratch built. A lovely cast metal engine is provided if one wants to model the OC-2 version. I needed the engine for something else, so I went for the inline version.

Another work of art from you my friend. Simply awesome.

All the best.

Another little gem from pieces of moulded plastic card. Lovely colour scheme too.

Brilliant, as usual. Do these vac-forms come with decals or do you have to source them elsewhere?
