Revell 1/32 Me Bf-109 G6 Late
From the ongoing '109 GB:
An excellent kit, fit is generally good to excellent although some care is needed with the wing assembly to avoid gaps in the upper wing joins. Let down slightly by vague instructions regarding parts choice for late or early types. An enjoyable build though none the less
Paints are mostly Revell Aqua (seemed appropriate really ) with some Humbrol and Tamiya added. Final matt coat is my usual W&N Galeria Matt varnish.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Really nice Iggie, and I have to agree with Stamford, that spinner spiral looks great. Is this the Hasegawa kit in a Revell box?

Thanks guys
The spinner spiral is a decal but it took a lot of setting solution to get it to conform to the spinner curves. Still easier than painting one though
The kit is all Revell, a new tool from 2013 according to Scalemates.Migrant wrote:Really nice Iggie, and I have to agree with Stamford, that spinner spiral looks great. Is this the Hasegawa kit in a Revell box?

Very nice Iggie. I like the cockpit detail. Do you know what the long yellow pipe is in the cockpit? I have seen this before but have no idea what it is.

The yellow pipework is for fuel; there is an in line filter with glass surrounds that the pilot can see within the cockpit which is fed directly from the external tank and which if blocked allows the pilot to change to the internal tanks before the engine cuts outStupot wrote:Very nice Iggie.
