Whether you like their kits or not, this one has turned out well. The finish is really very good indeed.

Lovely paint finish. Hard to believe it's a brush job.

What brand paint do you use, please?

Quite funny. I just posted in the Heller thread that Hellcat isn't very good and then I see one right here. You did a good job on it.

Spot on job Celt; very tidy finish on what can be a rough kit!
Best wishes

The Hellcat looks very sharp.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Yes the kit is not the best, but it was a present,so I was determined to finish it.Good job it has a dark colour scheme, the copious amounts of filler is well hidden.

Respect for your patience with this kit! Spent some time sanding and filing away, eh  ?
Its engineering is really cumbersome, so I binned wings and fuselage and kept some of the "detail" parts for my Frog and Matchbox Hellcats!
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.

Playing Tetris taught me: If I clean up too much, my kits disappear.....8-(

Hi Crashpilot,it was one of the worst fitting kits I have ever completed, the decals were great though.I have binned better fitting kits, its only because SWMBO bought for my birthday, that I persevered with the horrible thing.
