Airfix 1/72 Scale. Dassault-Breguet Super Etendard

Post by Marc »

Hi all

I recently completed Airfix's 1/72 Super Etendard. Old mold with some chunky pieces the build was nevertheless a lot of fun and represents a unique historical aircraft. Decals were a bit of a mission but worked well in the end. Model built OOB with the kit decals. Well done Airfix.

Superb build Marc - That looks excellent. I built this kit last year in the French scheme and really enjoyed it.

Cheers

That's a lovely looking build of an equally good looking aircraft; nice job all round!
Best wishes

That looks very fine. A very attractive aircraft, in my opinion.
Is that an old Heller or Italeri mould, do you now?

cheers,

Very nice. It may be an old mould, but you'd never know it to look at those photos. Finish and overall look is more than excellent, albeit rather clean. Not sure about how weathered the Argentinan SEs were, but that one looks like it's pristine -- and all the better for it. It certainly shows off the classic Dassault lines; you can see traces of both Mystere series -- the fighter and the exec-jet -- in the shape of the SE, and it is a beauty, just like this model.
