Tamiya 1/48 F-84G Thunderjet
Tamiya 1/48 F-84G Thunderjet
Built OOB with the exception of the decals which came from Eagle Strike.
Typical Tamiya kit - Goes together great and nicely detailed.
Finished with Vallejo Metal Color paints.

What a beauty!
Which Vallejo metals did you use, and what did you think about them? Any lifting/scratches?

Thank you.Softscience wrote:What a beauty!

I used Aluminium, White Aluminium, Dark Aluminium and Exhaust Manifold.
Really nice to use, no problems with lifting or peeling.
I sprayed the kit first, with Halfords White Plastic Primer then with the Vallejo Gloss Black primer that they recommend.
Worked a treat.
Regards, Paddy.

I was just about to ask these very questions.
That is a very lovely model and quite eye catching. Love the color scheme!

Thanks for the heads up, Paddy.
I'll be on the lookout for that primer.
And again, great work. The yellow and NMF is such a eye-catching combination. This must look terrific on a display shelf.

Classic F-84. I sometimes think that aircraft was basically a canvas on which people painted incredibly colourful markings over NMF. This is a perfect example of that. Well done.
