That was the FIRST kit I ever made- complete with the Mk 1 header! That has brought back some memories - many thanks.

Among the first 3 kits I ever built (all Airfix) was this one, the 1956 109F and the Bristol Fighter.
Would you believe I have a cast-off example of the 109 in its 1959 'G' version (not the later 109G-6 from 1965) which I may be able to restore? It is missing undercarriage, propeller blades and one tailplane. And the canopy is badly glufuscated!

A challenge!

Do give the 109 a restoration. I remember building that one too (probably from 1959 edition), and of course the Spitfire IX and Me 262! They were the first three of mine - the 4th was the Harvard - I remember them all as though it was yesterday!
