Wow, talk about quality control. Was is one of the 'Chinese' cheap knock-offs from ebay or the original matchbox? I had similar problem with 'I doubt-that-it-was-licensed' copy of Dornier Do28 that I bought early 2000s. The giveaway was lower quality cardbox, lower quality printing on box and instructions and a ... sticker with Chinese writing on the box.
... but coming back to your model; I like the scheme as well. Very effective build all around.
