Fuji T1-A; Hasegawa 1/72
Fuji T1-A; Hasegawa 1/72
I find it hard to resist a splash of colour, especially when it only cost £3 (bought at the recent 2017 Salisbury model show). It's a fairly of kit and I had a lot of bother with the decals, but it got there in the end.

Certainly colourful Vacant! Not a type I'm familiar with but very attractive. Nice job.

I do like that very much, I'd been looking at picking one of these up but don't tend to see many about. I like the early jet trainers.

Wasn't this the first home designed aircraft in Japan since the end of WWII?.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Very nice.
I think it evolved out of the F-86 (as did the FIAT G-91 to a certain extent).

Re: Fuji T1-A; Hasegawa 1/72
Wherever it evolved from Vacant has made another very good representation of an aircraft from parts that I for one would hesitate to try to assemble.
Re: Fuji T1-A; Hasegawa 1/72
Assembling the parts presented no problems. The kit is fairly basic so there was not much to go wrong and best of all, all the parts were there, still in their sealed bag. The only bothers were the disintegrating decals and the need for so much masking to paint the red/orange (my own mix) and of course, the splashes of dayglow. I missed out painting a frame inside the canopy half way along, but -it will have to stay as it is.
