Nakajima Ki-43-1 Hayabusa 'Oscar'; Fujimi 1/72

Post by vacant »

This one is straight from the box. No filler was uses or needed. The box art shows the drop tanks to be yellow but the instructions say to paint them green/grey.

I am unashamedly of the opinion that one can never have too much weathering on a Japanese aircraft from WW2.

In case you are thinking that this is an unusual build for me, it isn't. I am sent an injection kit of a Japanese aircraft three times a year. This was for Father's Day. Birthday comes next followed by Christmas. My Japanese collection now numbers between 30 and 40.

Nice one, Vacant and I think you have captured the typically heavy weathered look of a wartime Japanese aircraft very well. My collection of Japanese aircraft numbers one - an old Tamiya Zero in 1/48th.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!
