Italeri 1/72 F-4G Phantom II "Wild Weasel"

Post by PTB11 »

I first bought this kit for my 16th birthday, back in 84. The kit itself dates from 81 and back then I was more than happy with it.
This time round, it's really showing its age. Bad fit, raised panel lines and lack of detail. Anyway, after a bit of old school modelling, this is how it turneD OUT:
Built OOB and painted with Vallejo ModelAir.

That's a superb bit of vintage OOB!

You can't go wrong with a bit of old skool modelling, Paddy, especially when it looks as good as this. As always, I'm very impressed with your efforts!

It does look devoid of surface detail but your work removes the need to worry about that, good stuff!.
