New Airfix Sabres

Post by Spaceowl »

Just a quick question regarding the (relatively) recently released Airfix Sabres - is there any external difference between a Canadair and a North American model? By this i mean discernible in 1/72?
Overhead a rainbow appears...in black and white.

Current Projects:
Aircraft of VMA-542, USMC
Peru-Ecuador War 1995
THK 1939-2023
Polish Air Force 1939

yes; various versions had; wing fences, leading edge slats or not, different wing root to wing tip aspect ratio. Canadair were also fatter around the engine area afair
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Are these differences represented on the Airfix kits?

Afair the Airfix kit is a non-slatted wing with wing-fences [slightly in the wrong place, 5mm to far outboard] The fuselage is slim as for the US built and the very early Canadair versions

I'd need to dig out some kits and my reference books to give more accurate info
